This Privacy Policy applies to your use of the mobile applications (including, without limitation, Seymour™, Alfred or other mobile or web based products developed by Clever Sense), correspondence, promotions and web sites provided by Clever Sense, Inc. ("Clever Sense" or "we") that link to or reference this Privacy Policy (collectively, the "Services").
This Privacy Policy will likely change from time to time. Those changes will be effective when we post them on our website at thecleversense.com and in the settings on our mobile applications. Your use of our Services after we post a new Privacy Policy will constitute acceptance by you of the updated Privacy Policy. If Clever Sense makes a material change in the way your personal information is collected, the use of your personal information, or our email policies, you will be notified either by email or through a Privacy Policy update available on the Services.
We collect and use Personal Information (as with great care). You may delete all Personal Information that you provide to us in connection with the Services.
We collect and store any information you provide to our Services or that the Services send to us. As used herein, "Personal Information" means your device id, any information that identifies you, or any information that is required to be treated as "personal information" under applicable law and regulation, including, but not limited to, your name, email address, phone number, birthday, and usernames for your Twitter®, Facebook® and/or other accounts. We automatically receive your device ID when you use the Services and we associate this device id with all of your activity, submissions, information, and profile. We use the Personal Information that you provide to give you information about products and services available to you. Correspondence from Clever Sense may contain commercial messaging, such as advertisements and offers from Clever Sense and/or select partners. In the event there is a change or update to the Services, Clever Sense may use your Personal Information to contact you regarding such a change, update, or description of related services. The Personal Information you provide, or that we otherwise receive in connection with your use of our Services, is used for such purposes as enabling us to show you content that may be of interest to you, customizing the advertising and content you see, and communicating with you about specials and new features. We may also draw upon this Personal Information in order to adapt the Services to serve you better, to research the effectiveness of our Services, and to develop new products and services.
Clever Sense uses your Personal Information to send you information about our company and select partners, and we may use your email address to communicate with you about the Services. When you send email or other communications to Clever Sense, we may retain those communications in order to process your inquiries, respond to your requests, and improve our services. If you send and receive messages or other communications to or from any part of the Services to any external service (Facebook, for instance), we may collect and maintain information associated with that communication. When you interact with our Services in connection with your social media accounts, we may obtain certain information from such accounts, to the extent consistent with your permissions in such accounts and their respective terms and conditions of use. All such information that we obtain is subject to this Privacy Policy.
Clever Sense may also collect non-Personal Information associated with your use of the Services in order to improve and customize the delivery of the Services. Non-Personal Information can include your location, interests, ratings you provide, and tips, reviews, photos, videos, comments, and other information you provide using the Services or that is sent by the Services. If you do not want the Services to access metadata associated with content you provide or upload such as ratings, tips, reviews, photos, videos, comments, and other submissions, then please delete it from content before you provide it or upload it to the Services. We can retain and use non-Personal Information for any purpose.
When you access the Services via a browser, application, or other client, our servers automatically record certain information. These server logs may include information such as your location, your web request, your interaction with the Services, Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request, and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser or your account.
Please keep in mind there are limitations on your ability to remove Personal Information after you have provided it to the Services. If you delete Personal Information from your profile or delete your account, copies of that Personal Information may remain elsewhere if it has been shared with others. It is also possible that deleted Personal Information may persist in backup copies for a certain period of time, but the Services will not make it available to others.
We may share aggregate information collected by Clever Sense with non-affiliated third parties. Aggregate information does not identify you, but rather is based upon a summary of information about groups of users. This aggregate information will help our advertisers better target advertisements and services that are more relevant to you. We may provide aggregate information to our partners about how our customers, collectively, use our site, so that our partners may also understand how often people use their services and our Services.
Clever Sense will not sell, trade, or otherwise disclose Personal Information to third parties unaffiliated with Clever Sense without your permission. We reserve the right to disclose your Personal Information as required by law or when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights; to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on us or the Site; in connection with an actual or proposed corporate transaction or insolvency proceeding involving all or part of the business or asset to which the information pertains; or to any company controlled by, or under common control with, Clever Sense for any purpose permitted by this Privacy Policy.
The Services is intended for general audiences and is not directed to children under 13. If you are under age 13, please do not sign up for the Services or provide any information to the Services. Clever Sense does not knowingly collect Personal Information from or about children under 13. If Clever Sense becomes aware that the Services contains Personal Information about a child under 13 that was not provided with parental consent, we will take steps to remove such information and, if applicable, terminate the child's access to the Services. If you become aware that the Services contains Personal Information about your child that was not provided with your consent, please contact us at legal@thecleversense.com.
Clever Sense will store and process your Personal Information, taking reasonable care to preserve your privacy and security. Because your sensitive data is very important to both you and us, we have implemented policies and procedures to protect your information. Clever Sense follows generally accepted industry standards to protect the Personal Information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however, and, while we strive to use commercially-acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any of the information you submit to us or receive from us. Clever Sense reviews its security policies on a regular basis and will make changes when appropriate or necessary.
This Privacy Policy applies to Clever Sense services only. We do not exercise control over the sites linked to from within the Services. These other sites may collect data or solicit personal information from you. We encourage you to read their privacy statements.
